This photo from our worship night earlier this month perfectly captures the heart behind that evening. Alongside worship and prayer, we used butcher paper and markers to map out our thoughts, prayers, and reflections as we navigated the night together. It allowed us to engage our hearts and minds in a different way.
Worship is meant to be a daily rhythm, but it is easy to fall into a routine. If you are looking to connect with God in a fresh way over the next few days, try one of these three ideas:
1. Change your posture. If you normally pray while sitting at a desk or lying in bed, try kneeling, sitting on the floor, or pacing around your room. Sometimes a shift in your physical posture can completely refocus your mind.
2. Curate a gratitude list. Take five minutes at the end of your day to write down three highly specific things that brought you joy or comfort. Acknowledging those small moments is a simple but profound act of worship.
3. Read scripture aloud. Pick a short passage, like a Psalm, and read it out loud to yourself in an empty room. Hearing the truth spoken aloud can give the words a completely different weight and perspective.
