Thanks everyone for the congratulations and well wishes. It's been a great 45 years. I've served in St. Louis, Alaska, Russia and now in Chamois and Morrison, for many more years. Thanks for all the love and support over the years. Blessings to all.

This young priest will be celebrating 45 years of ministry on June 13th with a Mass (at 5pm!) and dinner following. If you would like to join us, please let the office know at 573 763-5345. NOTE: the one time change in Mass time- 5 pm instead of 6pm. Mass will be at 6 pm on June 20 and rest of summer.

We love hearing children at Mass. A parish without the sound of children (fussy or otherwise) is a parish struggling with a decline in parishioners.

Mass Cancelled in Morrison tonight.

I will say Mass at 9 am in Chamois on Sunday in behalf of all of you. If it is still cold and dangerous out there, stay home.

9 am: As snow is starting to fall here in Chamois, I haven't yet cancelled Mass in Morrison tonight, but want to remind everyone that if conditions are bad, you are excused from the obligations to attend Mass.
Bishop O'Donnel has written:
"No one should place themselves or others at undue risk in order to attend Mass. Personal safety is a moral responsibility, and prudence must guide your decision. I strongly urge the faithful of the Diocese of Jefferson City to comply with guidance from local municipal authorities and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) regarding travel advisories and road conditions.
Those who are unable to attend Mass due to inclement weather are encouraged to sanctify the Lord’s Day in other appropriate ways: by prayer at home, either individually or as a family, reading Sacred
Scripture, or making a spiritual communion (CIC can. 1248 §2)."
