This is amazing what God’s doing through amazing friends!
Don’t despise the day of small beginnings! Who would have imagined that 7 years ago, two ex-felons would connect after finishing their sentences and dedicating their lives to the Lord, then partner together to combat the very thing they used to contribute to – sin and its effects? When I began at Abel, we offered transition to men after they graduated from another program; we were helping maybe a half-dozen men. Fast forward 7 years later, we’re a full-blown discipleship program with over 100 men. And this is just a start. There’s talk going around that we’re going to depopulate one of the county jails close by. I could go on and on, but my point is this: don’t despise the day of small beginnings. The Father wants to do great things in and through your lives. We just have to remain humble and faithful, and God will do His part. When we’re faithful over a little, He’ll make you ruler over much! Keep going! God is faithful to watch over His word in your life to perform it. One last thing: your past doesn’t define you. God specializes in using the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, be encouraged!
