It’s Christmas in July at a Pleasantville!

Members and friends have been bringing n food for the New Britain Food Pantry and toys for Liz’s Birthday Closet and back to school supplies for weeks now, but Saturday was the drive-up and drop off day.

Santa’s summer elf’s were on hand to bring in supplies from people’s cars. It was a joyful day!

All the bounty we collected will be blessed in worship today and delivered to the appropriate agencies early this week.

Two weeks ago twenty-five people from Pleasantville (not everybody stayed for the photo!) joined a group of volunteers for a two hour pacing shift with “Feed My Starving Children.” They packed 352 boxes containing a total of 70,200 meals to fight hunger around the world. They told us the meals will save 192 lives! Our boxes were shipped to Malawi, Eswatini and Angola. This is just one of the many ways we work to fight hunger at Pleasantville.
