Tomorrow night, the conference begins! During session one, you will hear messages from Allen Murray and Dr. Robert Smith! We have some great singing lined up as well! Don’t miss the tables in the vestibule - ministry partners will be set up there and they will have some swag and/or candy to give away. If you are a preacher, come early to the conference and get in on the preaching workshop that Dr. Smith will be leading at 5pm! Look for the large welcome banners by the office building - that’s where the workshops will take place! I’m looking forward to seeing y’all tomorrow!

Thursday (8/6): Preaching workshop with Dr. Robert Smith at 5pm, Session One of the conference at 7pm.

Friday (8/7): Studying Scripture to Teach/Preach workshop at 5pm with Dr. Toussaint Adams, Session Two of the conference at 7pm.

Saturday (8/8): pastoral health workshop with Jonathan Davis at 8am, Session Three of the conference at 9am.

On Thursday night, Allen Murray will be preaching along side of Dr. Robert Smith at The Preaching Conference at The Grove. I love to hear this brother preach! I’m so glad that he will be with us this year! Don’t miss him at the conference! Here is a bit more about Allen…

J. Allen Murray is pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Supply, N.C. and serves as the president of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. This summer, he was elected to serve as the Second Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention. He and his wife, Hope, have two daughters. Murray is originally from Wilmington, N.C. and has pastored multiple churches in North Carolina prior to serving as lead pastor at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Murray is currently pursuing a master of divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He has also studied at the College at Southeastern and at Fruitland Baptist Bible College in Hendersonville, N.C.

This Friday, Dr. Toussaint C. Adams will be with us at Cherry Grove Baptist Church for The Preaching Conference at The Grove! He will be leading a workshop on Friday at 5pm on studying the scriptures with an aim to teach or preach. All of those who teach or preach God’s word is invited to attend the workshop! All who attend the workshop will enjoy a good meal afterward in our fellowship hall before the conference begins! Dr. Adams will be preaching alongside of Dr. Phil Hoskins during the Friday night session. You don’t want to miss it! I love to hear both of these men preach God’s word! Make sure you are in the house on Friday!

Dr. Robert Smith will be with us at Cherry Grove Baptist next week for the preaching conference! Dr. Smith will be leading a workshop on preaching at 5pm on Thursday and preaching during the Thursday evening session, around 8pm. We will be giving away copies of Dr. Smith’s book, “Doctrine that Dances,” while supplies last. Dr. Smith will also have a table set up in our vestibule where you will have an opportunity to purchase other books that he has written and chat with him! Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to hear this anointed preacher of the gospel bring the word from the Word!
