🎶 Take my life, and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days,
let them flow in ceaseless praise.🎹

Frances Havergal composed the words for this hymn in 1874. She offered her account of how the hymn came to her:
"I went for a little visit of five days [to Areley House]. There were ten persons in the house, some unconverted and long prayed for, some converted, but not rejoicing Christians. He gave me the prayer, "Lord, give me all in this house!" And He just did. Before I left the house every one had got a blessing. The last night of my visit after I had retired, the governess asked me to go to the two daughters. They were crying, etc.; then and there both of them trusted and rejoiced; it was nearly midnight. I was too happy to sleep, and passed most of the night in praise and renewal of my own consecration; and these little couplets formed themselves, and chimed in my heart one after another till they finished with 'Ever, Only, ALL for Thee!'"

What's something that's inspired your praise or commitment to God recently? 🤔

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Hello,
I missed gathering with you this morning and look forward to gathering next Sunday.

Let us continue to share our needs, requests, and concerns with God and with each other each day as storm recovery continues. God really is loving and cares. May the peace of Christ reign among the rumble of generators, the search for supplies, the safe cleanup of debris, the navigation of processes, and the coming together of neighbors and strangers.

If you have storm and debris cleanup needs, please call and register with Crisis Cleanup. They create a database from which many volunteer organizations pull from when looking to help for free.
The phone number is 1-800-451-1954

You continue to be in my prayers. You are special and you are loved. I’m grateful for you.
Please know that I am here ready to help.

Pastor Kathy
