On June 14, 2026, a community service and reception honored Reverend Janet K. Lee; a devoted servant of God. The service recognized her 43 years of dedicated service to Century United Methodist Church and the Century/Flomaton community. Reverend Lee's tenure, spanning four decades, has left a lasting legacy, as she came to Century in her 30s and will depart in her 70s. Her influence on the community is incalculable, marked by notable recognitions such as Century Citizen of the Year and 'Angel in Midst' by Channel 3, WEAR (for her exceptional work at the Century Care Center). Reverend Lee's service extended far beyond her local church, as she provided critical support to neighboring Methodist churches and hospice care, embodying the values of selflessness and faith.
The community service drew a large attendance; however, if the multitudes she touched throughout her ministry could have been there the crowd would have been enormous. We offer our sincerest gratitude and well wishes to Reverend Janet K. Lee, our minister and dear friend, who has given so much of her life to others.
