In a room filled with people who misunderstood Jesus, an unnamed woman responded with extraordinary worship and devotion. Pastor Bobby shows how her act of anointing pointed to Jesus as the promised Messiah and revealed a faith that treasured Him above everything else. What a joy to welcome our missionaries, James and Shine Lee, back to Christ Central and hear about the work God is doing in the Philippines.

The Lees serve in Occidental Mindoro, where they are helping equip pastors, disciple leaders, and support gospel ministry among the Mangyan people. We are grateful for their faithful service and encouraged by the ways God continues to build His Church across the world.

Jesus’ cursing of the fig tree and cleansing of the temple reveal His concern not merely for outward appearances, but for hearts that genuinely belong to Him. Pastor Huey reflects on how easy it is to settle for religious activity while remaining distant from God, bearing the appearance of faith without its fruit. We are encouraged to examine our hearts and respond to Jesus not as a distant part of our lives, but as the King who is worthy of our wholehearted devotion.

In Mark 10, a wide range of people approach Jesus for the wrong reasons, seeking what He can give rather than seeing Him for who He truly is. As Pastor Hank reflects on these encounters, we are reminded that Jesus does not love us because of our achievements, status, or worthiness, but because of His unfailing grace and compassion toward people who have nothing to offer in return. We are encouraged to look beyond our accomplishments and failures and fix our eyes on the cross, where Christ’s love for the unlovable is most clearly displayed.
