It is possible to spend years talking about God… and very little time actually with Him.

▪︎ We can know the sermons.
▪︎ Know the Scriptures.
▪︎ Know the theology.
▪︎ Have Christian friends.
▪︎ Attend church faithfully.

And still neglect the secret place.

Most Believers do not have fellowship with God; they have fellowship with each other about God.

There is a difference between knowing about God and walking with God.

▪︎ We can discuss prayer without praying.
▪︎ Talk about His presence without seeking Him.
▪︎ Study His Word without allowing it to search our own hearts.

Even good fellowship can never replace fellowship with Christ Himself.

Jesus did not call us merely to know things about Him.

He called us to abide in Him.

“Abide in me, and I in you.” — John 15:4

Maybe the question isn't, “How much do I know about God?”

Maybe it is:

If every Believer voice around me went silent, would I still know how to meet with God alone?

Don’t settle for only knowing about Him.

Know Him. Walk with Him. Abide in Him.

Nothing to Lose

Isaiah 3:10-11
10. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Have you ever been afraid to give yourself totally to the Lord because you think you might be deprived of some pleasure in this life? Chances are, you have. That's because Satan and his cohorts are working overtime to convince you that he can really make your life worth living. But don't believe him for a minute. The real truth is, yielding completely to the Lord won't cost you anything that's worth having. It will only cause you to live life to its fullest!

Jesus life on earth was a perfect example of a totally yielded life. He was a walking example of the benefits godly living brings. Everywhere He went, Jesus made the deaf to hear, the blind to see, the lame to walk. He lived in perfect peace and absolute victory. All He missed out on was the devil getting dominion over Him to kill, steal, and destroy. In fact, the devil couldn't do anything to Him until, by the Father's will, He laid down His life. Until that time Jesus walked in total victory over the enemy.

Do you think you would miss out on a lot if you lived that way? Of course not! You can walk in the same anointing and power and glory of God that Jesus did.

Do you have to give up your whole life to do it? Yes! You have to trade your life for the life of God. You have to trade your sickness for His healing, your poverty for His prosperity, your anxiety for His peace, your sin for His salvation.

So why hesitate? When it gets right down to it, you really have nothing to lose!

Feast on the Word

Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

The Word of God is to your spirit as bread is to your body. When your body feeds on physical food, it produces a physical power called strength. When your spirit feeds on the spiritual food of the Word, it produces spiritual power called faith. And just as you can't eat one meal and then feed on the memory of it for several weeks, you can't just remember what the Word says and stay strong in faith. You have to read it. Even if you've read it a hundred times, you need to read it again.

Remembering the Word of God isn't enough. You must continually feed on what it says. Get it out and read it. Go to church and hear it preached. One day, you'll read a familiar verse... a verse you've read thousands of times before... and suddenly God will give you the greatest revelation you've ever had. A completely fresh revelation from that old familiar verse! And it's likely to be exactly what you needed to know about your current situation.

Yes, you can feed on the Word that is on deposit in your spirit. You can't get continued results if you don't spend time in prayer and in the Word of God allowing the Spirit to nourish you daily.

Don't try to live on the memory of your last spiritual meal. Replenish the force of faith within you. Feast on the Word of God today 🙏🏽

Doers - Not Hearers Only

James 1:22-24
22. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24. For he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

Imagine a Believer reading their Bible and at some point, God's Spirit brings home a certain text to their heart. They think, I really need to do something about this. But they never do? This is the kind of person James has in mind here. He wants us to see that unless the Word has made a change our lives, it has not really entered our lives.

God's Word can become a millstone if we do not make it a milestone. Truth acted on brings more truth, but failure to respond to truth will ultimately result in loss of truth.

Some Believers are a lot like teabags. You don't know what they're made of until you put them in hot water.

Do the Word and leave the results to God 🙏🏽

In the Bible, "Character" refers to your inner moral and ethical fiber - who you are when no one is looking. Rather than outward appearance, it emphasizes the heart and is evaluated by virtues like integrity, honesty, humility, and faithfulness.

Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries.

Your character defines who you are by the actions you take.

Talent is a gift, but character is a choice.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

Ability can take you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.

Here are three things will test your character.

1. Power. When you give a person power, their character shows up.

2. Money. When you give a human a lot of money, their real self shows up.

3. Access to s*x. If you give a human access to s*x, their character shows up or their lack of it.

So, if you want to know who a man/woman really is, give them power, money, and access to s*x. That's why every human on this earth that have ever failed, was because of either power, money, or s*x.

If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.

Let's walk in integrity, remain unstoppable, and remember God is omnipresent!

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Begin to Praise!

Psalm 33:1
"Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful."

Praise. According to the Word of God, that's the most appropriate, becoming thing that you as a believer can do. God's idea of "appropriate" praise and your idea of appropriate praise may well be two very different things. The praise He calls for is joyous and uninhibited. And, at times, it's just plain loud!

If you don't recall, look in the Bible and see the kind of praise that goes on in heaven. Read Isaiah 6 and find out how they act in the throne room. The seraphim shout in there until the doorposts shake! And when they do, the glory of the Lord fills the house.

When you get to heaven, you're going to be praising like that too. You're going to be leaping and praising God with every part of your being (just like the lame man healed at the gate of the temple called Beautiful - Acts 3:8). But don't wait until then to start. Begin now.

Decide today that instead of praising God the way you like, you are going to start doing it the way He likes. Begin to release thise praises joyously, uninhibitedly. Don't wait until you get to heaven to praise God with all your being. Do it now. He deserves it!
