더센트 크리스찬 스쿨 신임 교장 인사
주 안에서 문안드립니다!
The Sent Christian School 가족의 일원이 되어 함께하게 된 것을 큰 영광이자 기쁨으로 생각합니다. 사랑과 목양의 환경 속에서 우리 자녀들이 경건한 인격과 리더십을 갖추도록 돕고, 학문적·영적 탁월함을 추구하는 일에 여러분과 동역할 수 있게 되어 진심으로 감사드립니다.
TSCS는 아직 젊은 학교이지만, 수십 년 동안 기도로 준비되어 온 학교입니다. 저 역시 이 건물과의 인연이 16년 전으로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 당시 저는 지금 학생들이 사용하는 싱크대, 바닥재, 가구 등을 선정하는 일에 참여했습니다. 또한 학교 설립을 위한 최초의 준비위원회(Task Force)의 일원이었습니다. 비록 여러 리더십의 변화로 인해 계획된 일정이 조정되었지만, 하나님의 때는 언제나 완벽합니다. 저는 류응렬 목사님, Jennifer Park 교장 선생님, 이사회, 교직원, 그리고 학부모님들의 신실한 헌신으로 성경적 교육이라는 비전이 현실이 된 것에 깊이 감사드립니다.
이번 가을 학기를 향한 저의 학부모 공동체 비전은 두 가지에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.
가정에서 자녀들과 영적·정서적·학문적으로 더욱 깊이 소통하고 관계를 세워가는 것
의미 있는 봉사 기회와 새로운 학교 사역을 통해 학부모님들을 더욱 적극적으로 참여하도록 돕는 것
이를 위해 학부모님들이 자녀들과 함께 성장할 수 있도록 실제적이고 유익한 부모 교육 세미나를 연중 개최할 예정입니다.
27년 동안 교육 사역에 몸담아 왔는데, 최근 어떤 분이 제게 “꿈의 직업을 갖고 계시네요”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 생각해 볼수록 저도 그 말에 동의하게 됩니다. 저는 하나님께 제 오병이어를 드리며, 하나님께서 그것을 사용하셔서 세상에 영향력을 끼칠 그리스도의 제자들을 세워 가실 것을 믿는 ‘하나님의 수학’을 할 수 있는 특권을 누리고 있습니다.
이 소명 때문에 저는 은퇴를 1년 앞두고 노스캐롤라이나의 호숫가 집을 떠나 이 귀한 복음의 보석 같은 사역을 위해 이곳으로 오게 되었습니다. 하나님께서 TSCS와 우리 아이들을 위해 놀라운 계획을 갖고 계시기에 이 문을 열어 주셨다고 진심으로 믿습니다.

2026학년도에 5~7학년으로 입학하는 신입생은 첫해 등록금의 50%를 할인받을 수 있습니다.

추천받은 가정이 입학 담당자에게 연락할 때 추천인의 자녀 이름과 학년을 알려주시면 됩니다.

함께 만나고 소통하기를 원합니다
저는 학부모님들과 학생들을 직접 만나기를 기대하고 있습니다. 이번 수요일 시상식(Awards Ceremony)에 참석할 예정입니다.
또한 새 음악·한국어·예배 담당 교사이신 Mrs. Chin 선생님도 함께 참석하실 예정입니다.
언제든 편한 시간에 대화를 신청해 주십시오. 제 문은 항상 열려 있습니다.
저는 마태복음 18장의 원칙을 매우 중요하게 생각합니다. 만약 교사와 관련된 우려나 문제가 있다면, 먼저 해당 교사와 직접 대화하여 건강한 관계를 세워 가시기를 권합니다. 마찬가지로 저와 관련된 문제나 우려가 있다면 저에게 직접 말씀해 주시기 바랍니다.
부모님들, 여러분도 ‘꿈의 직업’을 가지고 계십니다!
신명기 6장의 말씀처럼, 여러분은 왕이신 하나님으로부터 왕자와 공주들, 왕 같은 제사장들, 그리스도와 함께한 상속자들, 그리고 장차 왕을 섬길 종들을 양육하도록 부름받았습니다. 우리가 함께 나누는 이 특권은 참으로 놀랍습니다.
저는 TSCS가 복음이 우리의 모든 것을 형성하는 은혜의 공동체가 되기를 기도하고 있습니다. 우리 아이들이 하나님의 부르심을 따라 성장하고 준비될 수 있도록 이 아름다운 사역에 함께 투자해 주시겠습니까?

Greetings in the Lord!
It is an honor and a joy to join The Sent Christian School family. I am so grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in nurturing godly character and leadership in our children, while pursuing academic and spiritual excellence in a loving, shepherding environment.
Though TSCS is a young school, it has been covered in prayer for decades. My own connection to this building began sixteen years ago when I helped select the very sinks, flooring, and furniture our students now use. I served on the original task force to launch this school, and while the timeline shifted through leadership transitions, God’s timing is perfect. I am thankful for the faithful work of Rev. Ryoo, Principal Jennifer Park, our Board, staff, and families who have brought this vision for distinctly biblical education to life.
My vision for our parent community this Fall centers on two priorities:
Enhancing how we engage with our children at home—spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
Empowering you through meaningful volunteer opportunities and new school initiatives.
To help equip you, I will be hosting practical parent workshops throughout the year designed to give you the tools to grow alongside our children.
After 27 years in education, someone recently told me I have a “dream job.” The more I reflect, the more I agree. I have the privilege of doing “God’s math”—offering my five loaves and two fish while trusting Him to multiply followers of Christ who will go out and impact the world. This calling compelled me to leave my lakefront home in North Carolina—just one year before retirement—to pursue this Gospel gem. I truly believe the Lord has opened this door because He has great plans for TSCS and our children.
A Special Invitation to Grow Our Community
We are excited to invite more families to join our mission of raising godly children. To encourage new enrollments this school year, we are pleased to offer the following limited-time incentives:
$500 Referral Bonus: Receive $500 for each new student who enrolls after you refer them (no limit on the number of referrals).
50% Upper School Tuition Discount: New students entering 5th-7th grade will receive 50% off their first-year tuition for School Year 2026.
How to Apply: Have your referred family mention your child's name and grade when they contact our enrollment specialist.

I am a firm believer in the Matthew 18 principle. If you have a concern regarding a teacher, I encourage you to speak with them first to foster a direct, healthy relationship. Likewise, please come to me directly with any matters that concern me.
Parents, you also have a dream job! You have been commissioned by our King (Deuteronomy 6) to raise princes and princesses, royal priests, fellow heirs with Christ and future servants of the King. What a privilege we share!
