Realization:)
If you are struggling through something, what do you think God wants you to learn?
Dear Lord, as Your student in learning the ways of Your Kingdom, I've come to realize how negative words and attitudes can leave me feeling disconnected from my faith. I ignored the rule during my 40-day word fast to remove negative words from my vocabulary, yet I made negative remarks in a conversation. Later that day, I was lazy in my commitment to study the word. When I woke the following morning, Lord, my need to put Your Word first was overwhelming, and I rushed through my reading, not grasping it. Afterwards, all day I did not feel Your peace.
You, O Lord, should be my priority always, no matter what. So then, I have seen, felt, and understood the disruption in the peace and joy You give me when I yield to my own desires instead of yielding to Your will. Thank You, O Lord, for pointing out the errors of my ways in a practical way that shows me clearly what I should not do, but listen for your still small voice. I pray to You, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. Amen.
