A huge thank you to Dr. Douthit and his staff at Northeast Orthopedics in Gadsden for educating us about joint health at our Super Senior Lunch today. His staff generously shared knowledge, goodie bags, and t-shirts with us!

Also a huge thank you to our very own Kandi Garmany of Gadsden Regional Medical Center for arranging the special talk.

A big thank you to Paul Roger for his fantastic entertainment singing and picking the banjo while we ate. Many of us were still singing "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" as we left.

Finally, thank you to our kitchen crew and everyone who attended! We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 13 for another fun lunch!

Our adult Bible study of the Book of Acts has been cancelled this Wednesday, September 9. We apologize for the schedule change.

The remainder of our Wednesday schedule will remain the same:

Our Super Senior Lunch is back! And we have a lineup you won't want to miss!

Dr. George Douthit, an orthopedic surgeon at Northeast Orthopedics in Gadsden, will talk about joint health after the meal.

During the meal, Paul Rogers, an award-winning banjo player, will entertain us! Paul is the brother of Louise Barday and Deb Bell.

If you are 50+, please join us this Tuesday, September 8, in the First Baptist Centre/ROC gym for a potluck lunch. We'll supply the meat and drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Our mission team is on the ground in Argentina and already ministering!

They left the Atlanta Airport yesterday for an overnight flight. When they landed today, International Commission representatives were waiting to take them to ministry sites.

Please pray for their stamina as many of them did not sleep on the flight! In the comments below, you will find a prayer calendar to help you partner with the team during their trip.

We have nine beautiful mums left to purchase for our Children's Ministry Fundraiser! Each 8-inch mum is $10. Those left are first-come, first-served.

You can purchase your mums tonight at church. Just see Rhonda or one of the ministerial assistants.

All proceeds help send our children to summer camp in 2027!
