I’m in, are you?

As we prepare to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, I am calling for 50 days of prayer—from this Friday, May 15, through July 4. We have one pastor from every state who will lead us in prayer for America at noon every day here on my page or at OneNationUnderGod.com. Let’s join together in PRAYER for our country! “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12).

Election Prayer

O God, we acknowledge you today as Lord, not only of individuals, but also of nations.

We thank You that we can organize ourselves politically and declare our political loyalties in a way that preserves our absolute loyalty to You.

We thank you for your laws which our Founders recognized as higher than any human law.

We thank you for the opportunity that elections provide us, Not only to vote, but to mobilize many others to vote, and to vote correctly.

Lord, we know that politics is not our salvation. We also know that part of serving you is to be politically active, and that Your people are not a people fleeing the world, but rather a community of faith renewing the world.

Awaken Your people that the same hands lifted up to you in prayer are the hands that fill out the ballot. That the same eyes that read your Word are the eyes that read the names of the candidates, and that they do not cease to be Christians when they carry out their duty to vote.

Protect the integrity of our elections, And deliver us from deceit and fraud.

Awaken your people to the consequences of their vote, A vote to advance freedom and to thwart tyranny and evil. To protect children from indoctrination in falsehood and sin. To defend marriage and family. To stop the killing of the unborn, the most vulnerable of all, and to save our nation from destruction.

Lord, we rejoice today, that we are citizens of your kingdom first and foremost; and may that make us all the more committed to being faithful citizens on earth.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Being a Light in the Darkness
Devotional Day 1

God has called us to be a light in a world filled with darkness. This means living righteously and exposing sin, not just in our own lives but also in the world around us. It's not always easy, but it's our responsibility as followers of Christ. Shine your light brightly and let your actions reflect the love and truth of Jesus.

Verse: You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 5:14-16

Question: In what ways can you actively oppose darkness and be a light in your community?

Quote: God called us to be a light, and that's not easy in the world that we're living in, especially when the world is calling good bad and bad good.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be a light in this dark world. Give me the courage to live righteously and to expose sin. May my actions reflect Your love and truth. Amen.

Consequences

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will reap.” Galatians 6:7

We must understand this scriptural principle! That there is always CONSEQUENCES for everything we do! And to often we are unaware of it. Like laziness leads to proverty; selfishness leads to loneliness; disobedience brings judgment; self-exaltation brings humility; and sin separates us from God, the list goes on.

Remember Moses, though a servant of God who was leading His people, that because of his anger God did not allow him to enter the promise land. Think about that for a moment. (Number 20:1-12; fulfilled in Deuteronomy 31:48-52)

So let me be blunt, just maybe what you’ve been going through are consequences (results) of your own actions. If so don’t get bitter and resentful, search your heart and ask for forgiveness and trust Him to intervene.

Precious Father thank you for helping me realize that consequences for my actions truly helps me search my heart and repent for falling short of obeying Your Word. I thank You for Your mercy that’s new every morning. Amen… 🥰🙏🏼
