You're invited! Heartland Women's Fall Bible study: Steadfast: A Study of James.

Faithfulness regardless of our circumstances - that’s what it means to be steadfast. But in a world where so much can undermine our faith or pull us off track, steadfastness is often a rare and elusive trait.

James longs for his readers to be steadfast. His letter meets us in our suffering and sickness, our trials and temptations, our wealth and poverty, our ups and downs. He confronts our sin, our speech, and our pride. He encourages believers to have a more resilient and concrete faith: not just to hear the Word, but to do it. He calls us to persevere in truth in a world of lies, to see that God’s steadfast love is ultimately the source of our steadfast faith.

This 10–week study of James provides:
· 5 days of study each week—
observing, interpreting, and applying the text
· Devotional commentary with space to journal your thoughts
· Memory verse each week
· Small group discussion questions
· Teaching Videos

In a fickle and wayward age, we need biblical wisdom if we are to stay the course and be steadfast saints. The book of James provides this wisdom, and Steadfast by Courtney Doctor will help us apply it.

We will be meeting on Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:00, September 23 - December 2, at the south church. Here is a link that will take you to the registration page:

Please note that when you register you will be given the option for the church to order a book for you for $15, or you can choose to order the study guide on your own.

These mornings spent digging into God's Word together, sharing what God has been teaching us, and praying for each other have become some of the most treasured hours of my week. Women of Heartland: You are invited to enjoy an evening of appetizers, dessert, and good conversation at Winnie Poland’s home - 622 6th Avenue, Saint Libory - on Friday, July 16th at 7 p.m. Relax while you play a game of croquet or corn toss, take a stroll around the acreage, or enjoy conversation and a glass of iced tea on the patio. Feel free to bring your neighbor, a friend, or your teen daughter. Please throw in a lawn chair and dress casually for a warm (possibly hot😃) Nebraska summer evening. Let’s fight back the darkness in our world right now with the discipline of gratitude. The thing about gratitude is that we’re not flinging our thanks into the void; we’re directing it to the One from whom all blessings flow. It is a heart-shaping and reorienting exercise that calls us to actively rest in the goodness and sovereignty of a Father who loves us perfectly and who has command over all of our days. Women of Heartland, even as we acknowledge the weariness, sadness, and confusion of this season, let’s be known as the grateful ones, the women who have received the gift of an unshakeable kingdom. Happy Thanksgiving!

We're very excited to be able to offer an evening Bible study this fall. Better is a verse by verse exploration of the Book of Hebrews taught by Jen Wilkin and facilitated by Sara Musgrave. Through this New Testament letter, learn how Christ is the substance of the shadowy truths the Old Testament records. Discover how he fulfills and completes the work of angels, prophets, priests, and ceremonial laws, establishing a better covenant.

This study will meet on Thursday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. beginning October 1. The cost is $15 and includes a workbook. Comment here or call the church office to get signed up. If you plan to join this study, please register right away, so we can get a workbook ordered for you.

The Psalms include some of the most well-loved and well-worn passages in our Bibles. More than just devotional reading, they instruct us through every season of life how to speak to - and speak of-God. Join us as we explore how the songs of Scripture give us language both to approach and to adore the Lord.

You are warmly invited to join us for this 11-week study taught by Jen Wilkin being held on Thursdays, 9-11 from September 17 through December 3. The cost is $15 which includes a photo-copied workbook and digital access to each week's teaching. Please contact Jamie to sign up!
