This morning, the family of Bishop Adrian L. Varlack, Sr., announced the following which we share on their behalf:

"We are grateful for every prayer, text and phone call we have received over the last few weeks as Dad has dealt with serious health issues. It is with profound personal sadness yet overwhelming joy that we share that he is now in glory with the One who formed him, loved him and carried him for 81 years.

Our Mother, his wife of more than 60 years, has been so moved by the outpouring of love from around the world. Thank you for caring for our Dad and for loving him as we love him. Please allow us time to grieve as a family. We will share funeral arrangements in the coming days. Thank you again for all of the love and support. We appreciate and desire your continued prayers.

We unite with the global Church of God of Prophecy family in giving thanks for the remarkable life and ministry of Bishop Adrian L. Varlack, Sr. A native of the British Virgin Islands, Bishop Varlack faithfully served the Church for more than five decades in a variety of leadership roles, including missionary, pastor, international administrator, educator, Church Historian, and Consultant to the General Overseer. His influence extended around the world through his teaching, writing, leadership, and commitment to preserving the history and testimony of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Please join us in praying for his beloved wife, Janice, their children, grandchildren, and the entire Varlack family. Those who knew Bishop Varlack know how deeply he loved his family and how often he spoke of them with great joy and pride. May the God of all comfort surround them with His peace and strength in the days ahead.

WALK BY FAITH, one of our favorite times of the year! Several years ago the Lord impressed on our hearts to switch up our back to school ministry from school supplies and backpacks to brand new, name brand school shoes. Some of us knew first hand the impact a new pair of name brand shoes could have on a child's confidence and education. This is how Walk By Faith was founded. Each child shops in the shoe store and chooses a pair of shoes they like. The smiles on the faces of these children are priceless as they proudly leave with their brand new shoes. This is made possible by generous donations and support from Central City Church of God of Prophecy, friends in the community, and Shoe Sensation. Last year we served 37 children in Muhlenberg County and Ohio County. Praise God! Please pray for this incredible ministry and the families we serve.
