Happy Birthday, Eileen! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating a true 3C’s legend - the one and only Eileen! 👵

Everybody knows Eileen. She’s got the stories, the wisdom, and absolutely zero problem telling it like it is. In fact, she’s probably the only person in the church who could throw a shoe at the preacher and somehow still get an “Amen” from the congregation😂

But if there’s one thing everyone knows about you, it’s that you’re ALWAYS ready to help. Need a hand? Call Eileen. Need a ride? Call Eileen. Need somebody to pray with you, feed you, encourage you, or give you the shirt off her back? Call Eileen. Your heart is bigger than this whole church building.

And then there’s “Grammy” -whether you’ve known her for 20 years, 20 days, or 20 minutes, sooner or later you’re getting adopted. Every child in this church knows who Grammy is. You’ve loved generations of kids like they were your own and somehow you’ve always got room in your heart for one more.

You’ve been at this church since the very beginning …You’ve seen people and pastors come and go, watched generations grow up, and sat through enough sermons to earn a lifetime achievement award. At this point, if there’s a church hall of fame, your jersey should be hanging in it!

And let’s talk about the real ministry for a second: Eileen’s cooking. If you know Eileen, you know those beans are absolutely out of this world. People have crossed state lines for less. And don’t even get us started on the fudge….At this point, we’re not saying it should be tested in a lab… but we’re not NOT saying it either 😮‍💨 There has to be something in that recipe because one bite and suddenly everybody’s asking for seconds, thirds, and a to go container… 😂

Eileen, we love you. Thank you for being one of the OGs, for keeping us laughing, keeping us grounded, and reminding us where this church came from. Your faith, kindness, strength, and no-nonsense spirit are a blessing to all of us.

We pray God keeps blessing you with good health, good laughs, and plenty more birthdays.

We love you big time.

🇺🇸 Happy Memorial Day from 3C’s 🇺🇸

Today, we pause as a nation to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day can never be fully repaid, but they should never be forgotten.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a holiday gathering. It is a sacred reminder that freedom comes at a cost. Behind every flag waving proudly in the breeze is the story of a hero who was willing to lay down everything for something greater than themselves. We remember those who never returned home, the families who carry their legacy, and the generations who continue to benefit from their sacrifice.

As believers, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Today, we honor those who embodied that spirit of sacrifice and service.

May we never take our freedoms for granted. May we live with gratitude in our hearts, pray for the families of the fallen, and strive to be people who serve others with courage, humility, and love.

From all of us at 3C’s, THANK YOU to the heroes who gave everything and to the families who continue to carry their memory. We remember. We honor. We are grateful.
