For churchgoers at one Central City church, "putting on your Sunday best" took on special meaning today. The congregation at Central City's St. James Church celebrated 165 years of worshipping together.

St. James Church worship is CANCELLED for 4/7/24. With the widespread power shutdown due to high winds expected through noon Sunday, the church would be without power and heat. We will reconvene on Sunday 4/14 at 10:00AM. See you then. In the mean time, stay safe.

Hmmm… Maybe yes, maybe no… That’s what the weather people are saying, anyway. Either way, it looks like we are in for a snow day or two, so we have decided to CANCEL St. James Church of Central City Wednesday Evening Bible Study today. Best to hunker down and get ready for shoveling out!

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

Happy Friday, St. James Church! Just s quick heads up... The current weather forecast for this weekend is looking fairly bleak with the strong possiblity of blizzard conditions, EXTREMELY cold temps and wind chills and up to 24" of snow in the higher elevations of Gilpin County. We are watching closely and have not yet decided, but if the storm pans out as predicted by Saturday afternoon--for the safety of our congregation--we will likely declare a snow day and cancel service this Sunday, January 14th. Please watch here for updates.
