At the conclusion of liturgy Fr Timothy blessed the Phanoropita in honor of Saint Phanourios, his feast was on 8/27.
We ask this Martyr and Saint for prayers when we lose material things like car keys, or wallet but also we ask his prayers for lost souls, and those who can’t find their path.
People have numerous stories about their answered prayers through his intersessions
In gratitude, they bake the Saint Phanorious cake and bring it to church.

It was a joy-filled two days at St. George!

We're grateful to all who stopped by our annual Greek Food Festival to learn about our community, our culture, and our church while enjoying some delicious Greek food, Greek music, and dancing from our talented Greek Dancers.

A special thanks to all who helped make this weekend a special one, especially our Festival Committee Chaired by the talented Maria Mastorakos. We couldn't have held this festival without all of your help and support!

It was a great start to our annual Greek Food Festival with delicious Greek food and pastries, Greek music (and dancing), tours of our church, and lots of smiles and laughter.

We're grateful to our Parish Council, Festival Committee, and dedicated volunteers for making today such a success. And we're especially grateful to everyone who showed up and who spent time learning about St. George and our culture.

The festival continues tomorrow, starting at noon and running until 10 pm. We hope to see you then!!
