God is your source of help.

Psalm 121:1-2
My help comes form the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

When you need help, where do you typically turn first? How are you encouraged in knowing that the Creator of all is your source of help?

Pray: Thank You, God, that You are truly the only source of help that I need.

God calls us to be holy.

1 Peter 1:13-16
But as the one who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct, for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

In what areas of your life do you need to grow in holiness? With God's help, what actions can you take today to change?

By contrast, the boy Samuel grew in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.

Could your life be characterized by being too comfortable? Whom do you have in your Christian community to walk with through life?

Pray: Lord, remind me that although I may feel outnumbered, You are always with me!

This world is not the end.

John 11:17-27
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

How often do you consider eternity and you place in it? How can you explain eternity to someone who isn't a follower of Christ?

Pray: God, thank You that when this life ends, my eternity with You in heaven is just beginning.

Jesus was fully man.

John 1:1-14
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

How have you learned to be a man from the perfect man, Jesus Christ? What imperfection do you need to work on in your life so you can be more like Christ?

Pray: Jesus, thank You for giving me the perfect example of what it means to be a man. Please help me follow in Your footsteps.

Don't neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some welcomed angels as guests without knowing it.

When was a time in your life you may have encountered an angel? How does it make you feel to know that God has HIs angels watching?
