Amen. We’re grateful for the truth that the unchanging Word of God remains through all life’s circumstances. It is a firm foundation on which we can build our lives. Let us be women who know our need and hunger for the Word!

“This past year I studied the book of John with other women from CCF. Throughout this Gospel we see how Jesus allowed His humiliation in order that we may believe. He chose to leave his glory in Heaven by coming to earth as a human, He chose to remain obedient to His mission to die on the cross for our sins. He was spit on, beaten, and tortured. He was the ultimate servant. I am challenged to approach my daily life having the same attitude as Christ so that people may believe (Philippians 2:5-11). I am a mom and a wife and each day in those roles it is a battle to choose to have that humility and obedience as Christ has shown us. I am grateful that I serve a God who does not leave me the way I am but convicts me and gives me His Holy Spirit so that I may become more like Him. For His Glory.”

On Sunday, Pastor Nick Rundlett shared a convicting and practical message on the hospitality to which we are called as believers. (You can listen online if you weren't able to make it on Sunday!) We wanted to remind you once more of this definition he shared from Rosaria Butterfield in "The Gospel Comes with a House Key." And while this kind of hospitality can be seen as radical, it doesn't have to be complicated. Are you taking any new steps to enable you to practice this kind of hospitality? Share some ideas below!

“I was 6 years old when I recognized I was a sinner and needed a Savior, and I asked the Lord to forgive me of my sins and was baptized soon after. I truly believe that my conversion was real but as a college student felt my faith being put to the test. I had leaned on my parents so heavily having been brought up in a Christian home. I knew the Lord was calling me to step out in faith to follow Him and to make this faith journey my own.

In recent years, the Lord has been teaching me a lot about identity. I have struggled my whole life with comparison and fear of man, finding my identity in what people said or thought about me or in how I felt I measured up to others. The Lord has been showing me in His word that my identity is found in Christ - I am His! The Lord has saturated me with Ephesians lately in several different venues and I am thankful for the reminder that it is not my works but the grace of God that has saved me. I don't have to keep striving to earn my place. "For grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)”

Tara also shared that the best advice she has received about being a woman of God is to surround yourself with other women who can encourage, challenge and pray for you. We want that for you, too, and hope we can cultivate that through CCFW!

Praise God for the work of salvation that he has accomplished. It truly is a gift!

As spring is finally upon us and new life comes forth, it is easy to understand why Scripture is filled with plant-centered metaphors. This quote from Elisabeth Elliot fits right with that imagery, encouraging us to persevere when hard seasons come in our Christian walk.

It’s time for another ! Today we are hearing from Brenna, the CCFW event coordinator:

“As I’ve been adjusting to post-grad life, I’m reminded that though this new season of life has brought some changes, my God remains the same. The Lord has faithfully and patiently been revealing His never-changing nature to me in His written Word lately.

He is and always will be marvelously beautiful, sufficient, and all-encompassing – He fills all in all. I’m thankful His faithfulness does not depend on my degree of faithfulness or lack thereof, but far surpasses it at all times. My God pardons abundantly and His grace is overwhelmingly unmerited.

I’m praying that as I regularly and obediently place myself under the authority of His Word, I may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).”

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter, remembering and celebrating the source of our living hope—Jesus Christ. Let us always remember, praising God and walking in the new life He has given us through the life, death, and resurrection of His son.

A couple weeks ago, Pastor Nick Rodgers challenged us to think through a few questions. We want to encourage you to do the same, in the middle of your week, wherever that has you. Take some time to pause and let the Lord work in your heart today.
