We invite all CCH family to join us on Sunday, September 13th at 10:00am for our annual Welcome Back Sunday Service on the church’s front lawn (weather permitting 🌞), followed by our traditional potluck brunch. Whether you’re returning to CCH after a summer away, or looking for a new church family, we look forward to seeing you there to celebrate our ministries kicking off a new year of service together.

This year, we will dedicate our new food pantry “Drive-By Donation Station” which was installed by our youth member, Luke Short, this summer. We welcome all donations of non-perishable food items to celebrate the pantry’s opening. Thank you, Luke, for choosing our ministry for your Eagle Scout project! Many lives are sure to be impacted positively by your hard work for years to come.

Our choirs celebrated another year of music ministry together! Our CCH Bell Choir sent the congregation off singing this morning. We are overjoyed to welcome our intentional interim minister, the Rev. Dr. Kelly Sprinkle into our church family. Rev. Sprinkle joins us as the culmination of the dedicated efforts of our interim search committee, and we are so pleased to have him with us as we initiate the search for a settled pastor.

Rev. Sprinkle celebrated Communion Sunday with us this past Sunday, and shared a timely, impactful sermon centering Christ’s calling to lift up every child left on the margins of society. We invite you to join us at CCH as we ease into the summer months and this new chapter in the story of our beloved community.

We’ve been honored to host the Rev. Rayford Howell as our guest preacher this Spring, and are delighted to have him join us for our Sunday services for the remainder of May. Rev. Howell is a member of the First Congregational Church of Rockaway Beach and serves as a member of the Metropolitan Association of New York Conference, UCC’s Committee on Ministry—a resource committee for ministers and churches in our area. His messages of solidarity, social justice, and faith continue to vibrate throughout our sanctuary, and we encouraged you to join us in person or over Zoom to listen in.
