First Baptist Church, Centerfield, Utah On January 31, 1988, what is now the First Baptist Church of Centerfield Utah met at the Gunnison Valley Baptist Mission. Al Gaspard, Jim Knowler, Rev.

The setting was in a store front in downtown Gunnison Utah, the Bull Dog Inn. In May of 1988 land was acquired to build the church and groundbreaking done June 1989. The building project started in July 1989 with many churches and organizations lending a hand. Huston Missions team, First Baptist Church of Mississippi, and volunteers from Methodists, Catholics, Pentecostals, Mormons, as well as Bap

tists from south Sanpete area. Some of the first Pastors were: Medford Hutson, Rev. O J Bewley, Bill Jones, Don Carter, Nathan Simmons, Emery Polelonema. The present Pastor is Rev. Phillip Smith. Sunday Services start at 9:45 am Sunday School, 11:00am Worship service, and Wednesday Contemporary worship Bible study at 6:00pm. Pastor Phil has 29 years of pastoral experience.
