Yesterday, we kicked off a new year for our youth group! It was so great to have our youth back after a nice break. A big thank you to everyone who helped prepare dinner for our youth. We are also so thankful for our youth pastor, who led the group in a great discussion about what we value in life. Do we value God above all else, or do we place more value on the things around us? We also talked about some of the struggles that can come with serving God and living out our faith. The youth split into their groups and had some really great conversations and discussions. It was wonderful to see them engaging, sharing their thoughts, and learning from one another. We are so excited to see what God has in store for our youth group this year! We can’t wait to see how they grow in their faith, build relationships, and discover all that God has planned for them.
Here’s to a new year of growing, learning, serving, and growing closer to God together!

This week's Heritage Project was all about learning new skills and having fun! A huge thank you to Keith Bergthold and Megan Bergthold for sharing their carpentry skills and helping everyone build their very own birdhouses. Each birdhouse turned out a little different as everyone added their own creative touch. One of the highlights of the day was watching the older youth help the younger ones. Seeing them encourage, teach, and work together was a great reminder of what the kingdom of God looks like.

This week at the Heritage Project, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs. Susan Liter, who taught us how to make delicious chocolate chip cookies! Everyone had the opportunity to help in some way, making it a fun and memorable experience for all. Afterward, our wonderful pastor used the cookie making process as a powerful illustration of what it means to obey God and follow His instructions even when they don't always make sense in the moment. Just like baking cookies, we may not always understand the process, but when we trust God and follow His leading, the outcome is far greater than we could have imagined. His blessings are always worth the wait. A huge thank you to all of the parents who came, helped, and were involved. We are so grateful for your support and for being a part of what God is doing.
