My heat is broken, but I do understand the reasoning behind this decision. An awful lot powerful sermons were preached in that church, an awful lot of prayers were said in that church, a lot of beautiful praise and worship, a lot of fellowship, and a lot of wonderful memories made. The landscape of Center will be forever changed with the demolition of this majestic work of art. I pray God brings something beautiful from its ashes.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...

The Golden Rule -- golden because it's genuine, lasting, and valuable. Imagine how different our world would be if we practiced this principle -- not just in our "church life" but in our daily life with our family, with our coworkers and employer, with the people we manage, with the folks on the freeway and in the neighborhoods where we drive, toward the waiters and waitresses who serve us. What a wonderfully different world it would be if the Golden Rule were to be practiced. I think I'll start changing my world with it today!

Revelation Chapter 6
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

September is an eventful month. The 28th is the fourth Blood Moon in the cycle. It begins the Jubilee Year. The Pope addresses the U.N. and many other things as well. I'll be looking up a lot this month.

Pray for the Saints in the Arab lands. Revelation 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
