Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Join us next week as we pick back up in our study of Hebrews.

When Jacob's hip is touched, the grasping is transformed to a dependent clinging. Something you can only do in weakness. God is pleased to be clung to in weakness. The clinging of faith. And he's left with a limp- a life long mark, where he can no longer stand on his own strength.

"These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them & greeted them from afar, & having acknowledged that they were strangers & exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city."
