Today we had a wonderful baptismal service with three people giving public testimony of their faith in Christ through the ordinance of baptism. What a joy it was to see them take this step in their spiritual growth. And, how awesome it was to see the joy, excitement, and eagerness in their faces as they gave their testimonies and got in the water to identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The day couldn’t have ended any better.

To all our Centennial family,

After looking at the weather forecasts with this winter storm, the elders here at CVCC have decided to cancel the services for tomorrow, January 14th. With the bitterly cold temperatures, snowfall, and horrible wind gusts, we don’t want our people risking the terrible driving conditions to come to church. We’d rather they stay safe at home this week.

Times can be extremely difficult when dealing with the loss of a loved one. A whole range of emotions tend to take over when going through the grief process. We are here to help, however. We here at Centennial Valley Community Church have partnered with a nationally recognized organization that helps people cope and find healing after a loved one has died. The organization is GriefShare. To find out more about GriefShare, information can be found at the griefshare.org website. We will be having GriefShare meetings at Centennial Valley Community Church for those that are grieving. The meetings will be on Tuesday evenings at 6 PM beginning this next Tuesday, September 12th. There will be 13 sessions, with the last meeting being on December 5th. To register for the meetings, please go to griefshare.org. Come on out to Centennial Valley Community Church in Centennial, Wyoming on November 5th for our annual Chili CookOff. There will be door prizes throughout the evening as well as some fabulous prizes for the Chili’s deemed worthy! It’s always a great evening of fun, fellowship, food, and burned tastebuds, depending on which chili you’re brave enough to eat … (we will provide milk to tame the burning, however). Come join us at 5 with your chili and give us a little bit of time to get everything put in place. Then we can all get to work tasting and judging which chili’s will prove themselves the best! See you here on the 5th!
