Tonight begins the season of Lent.

For centuries, Christians have marked this day by slowing down, examining their hearts, and returning to the Lord.

Since we aren’t able to gather midweek right now, we’ve prepared a simple Ash Wednesday video service for you to participate in at home this evening.

It includes:

Scripture from Joel 2

Worship

A short reflection

Guided confession

And an opportunity to receive ashes — or trace the sign of the cross

Joel writes:

“Yet even now… return to me with all your heart.” (Joel 2:12)

That’s the invitation tonight.

We encourage you to set aside 10–15 minutes sometime this evening — eliminate distractions, light a candle if you’d like, and let this mark the beginning of Lent intentionally.
