Baptism is the sign of our union with Christ—a union received by faith alone.

In baptism, we visibly proclaim what the gospel accomplishes by grace: that we have died with Christ, been buried with Him, and raised with Him to newness of life. The water itself does not regenerate or justify us. Christ alone saves, and faith alone receives Him and His righteousness.

Baptism points beyond itself to the greater reality: our union with the crucified and risen Christ, by whom we are justified, adopted, and made new.

“Having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised Him from the dead.”

We want our worship to be governed, guided and informed by scripture alone. And we get a small taste of that when we gather for worship. Remember the conclusion of everything, the goal to which all of history proceeds is the praise of HIS glory. He is worthy of Worship because of who He is in all of His glorious Majesty.

Being “rich toward God” means treating your resources as a trust from
Him rather than as personal security or identity. Practically, it involves
using money and possessions generously for God’s priorities, as stewards—
meeting needs, supporting Gospel work, and helping others—while
holding them loosely and finding ultimate security in God instead of net
worth.

It also means investing in what lasts eternally, living with perpetual
gratitude and contentment rather than endless accumulation, and making
daily decisions that honor God...and to notice and value and bless other
people. Getting more excited about the advancements of Christ’s
Kingdom than our latest purchase.

The mission of God is directly connected to the local church. The local church is the primary vehicle, the agent, through which God's plan of redemption is carried out. In his letter to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul thanks the church there for their "partnership in the gospel, from the first day until now" (Philippians 1:5).

This is why at CCC we prefer the term partnership to membership. God has so designed his church in such a way that we each individually have an indispensable role to play to see to it that we all grow up into Christ together. Partnership is the formal recognition of this reality. .

To officially become a partner, you will need to attend our FALL class, fill out an application online, review the church documents, and then meet with an Elder.
