Join us this Sabbath at Celebration SDA Church for a thought-provoking journey into one of Scripture’s greatest questions: Can God be trusted?

Our 11:00 AM Worship Service, entitled “War in Heaven,” will be presented by our beloved Pastor Kevin Roberts. Using Psalm 77:13, Pastor Roberts will explore the character and nature of God as revealed through the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is more than an ancient religious system; it points us toward the very heart of God and His heavenly plan.

Together, we’ll look at the great controversy that began in heaven, the questions raised about God’s character, and how the Sanctuary reveals a God who is just, loving, trustworthy, and committed to restoring what sin has broken. What was God’s plan before sin ever entered the picture? And what does that tell us about who He truly is?

Discover how the story of the Sanctuary points beyond rituals and symbols to a deeper revelation of God’s character and His desire to restore humanity to relationship with Him.

Our Sabbath School begins at 10:00 AM with “Authentic Christian Ministry.” We’ll explore 2 Corinthians 3–7 and Paul’s passion for ministry, what it means to serve Christ, reach people, and allow God to work through us to bring others into His kingdom.

Memory Text: "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies" (2 Corinthians 4:8-10, ESV).

Last week, we saw that Paul, by affirming his simplicity and sincerity, defended himself from the accusations of inconstancy and lack of love toward the Corinthians. He always worked for the best interests of his spiritual children. He began a line of thought in 2 Corinthians 2:12-17 that goes to 2 Corinthians 7. While doing so, he reflects on what an authentic ministry for Christ looks like. We can draw so many lessons from Paul's thoughts in that regard.

This week, we will look into 2 Corinthians 3-7, where Paul speaks of his ministry of gaining souls for Christ. Ellen G. White says, "The conversion of sinners and their sanctification through the truth is the strongest proof a minister can have that God has called him to the ministry. The evidence of his apostleship is written upon the hearts of those converted, and is witnessed to by their renewed lives. Christ is formed within, the hope of glory. A minister is greatly strengthened by these seals of his ministry."--The Acts of the Apostles, p. 328.

August 29, 2026 - "Living in Love - Part 2"- Pastor Des Cummings

Join us this Sabbath at Celebration SDA Church!

Our 11:00 AM Worship Service, entitled “Living in Love - Part 2,” will be presented by our beloved Pastor Des Cummings. Through John 2:23-24 and Genesis 2:1-3, we’ll explore the heart of a true worshiper and discover how the Sabbath was given from the beginning as a blessing and gift from our Creator.

Pastor Cummings will also look at how, after sin entered the world, shame became one way the enemy distorts and attacks the blessings God intended for us. Through Genesis 3:6, we’ll be reminded that the answer is not to focus on the attack, but to fix our eyes on Jesus, the One who restores, redeems, and calls us back to the truth of God's love and blessings.

Our Sabbath School begins at 10:00 AM with the lesson “Love-driven Ministry.” We’ll look at Paul's deep concern for the believers in Corinth and how, despite the challenges, his love for them never failed, reflecting the unfailing love Christ has for each of us.

August 29, 2026 - "Love-driven Ministry" - Sabbath School

Memory Text: "For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you" (2 Corinthians 2:4, NKJV).

The apostle Paul didn't always have it so easy.

Besides jail and the life-threatening situations he faced, he also wrote: "From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness--besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches" (2 Cor. 11:24-28, NKJV).

What we see in his letters to the Corinthians is some of the "deep concern" that he had for this church. Yet, amid it all, his love for them never failed, just as Christ's love for us never fails us. In fact, it was from Jesus that Paul learned to love the churches in a way that reflects the love that Jesus has for us (2 Cor. 5:14; see 1 Cor. 11:1).

Join us this Sabbath at Celebration SDA Church for a message of prophecy, hope, and mission.

Our 11:00 AM Worship Service, entitled “The Fourth Angel: Earth Lightened with Glory,” is Part Five of the Three Angels’ Messages series, presented by Pastor Kevin Robert. Based on Revelation 18:1–4, we will explore an angel coming down from heaven with great authority, bringing the glory of God to the earth.

Pastor Robert will examine what it means for the earth to be “lightened with glory” and how God’s final message will be proclaimed through His people. The focus is not simply on future events, but on our role today: allowing Christ to live through us so that His character, truth, and love can shine to those around us. As these prophecies move toward fulfillment, we are reminded that the earth is waiting to be lightened; the light is Christ in you. Let Him shine.
