Every year, the GMC (Global Methodist Church) gathers for an annual conference to worship, pray, plan ministries and learn of opportunities for ministry. As part of the North Georgia GMC, Kresge has both a clergy representative and a laity representative who will be in attendance June 4th-6th in Norcross.

During this Annual Conference, we will take up a special offering that will be combined with similar offerings all over the world. Those offerings will be taken to a much larger worldwide GMC General Conference scheduled for Johannesburg, Africa, August 30th-Sept 5th. In Christian Sympathy, we share our thoughts and prayers with the family of Mrs. Jill Wells. A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Saturday, May 16th, at noon with visitation at 11am. The family has requested that guests wear something with the color green showing as that was Jill's favorite color. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Kresge Methodist Church.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Family of Jill Wells.

Mrs. Jill Elaine Hayth Wells, age 66 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was born on October 10, 1959 in Sumter, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Doyce Weaver Hayth. Mrs. Wells is survived by her daughter, Tammy Wells sister,

Graduate Sunday...join with the church as we celebrate our Graduates...Sunday, May 24th at 11am

Our church family is encouraged to write notes/letters of encouragement or graduation cards and place them in the baskets provided. These will be a thoughtful reminder to our graduates and presented to them Sunday. We will gather in the Anna Kresge Fellowship Hall for punch and cake following our service.
