🪦HELP! PLEASE SHARE!!! Looking for volunteers for this Saturday 5/27/23 8:30 am to 12:00. We need people to help with cleaning up Simpson Cemetery which is extremely overgrown. Simpson Cemetery is located on Bethlehem Rd here in Polk County. Any able-bodied folks willing to help please. This is an old Cemetery which holds the burial site of Sara Murphy, the one who the Harpist Home is named after. Bring loppers, rakes, shovels, axes and saws. We also will need folks to pile brush. Bring lawn chairs if you got them. I have 5 gallon water cooler I will bring to the site also. Bring what you think you'll need to survive for 3 or 4 hours. The weather forecast at this time states highs in the 70's and 16% chance of rain, so let's hit it early and knock a dent in it. I will mark the entrence to the cemetery with pink flagging tape. Parking is limited in the driveway and most will have to park on the shoulder of the road. I will designate someone to help with traffic flow on that day. Remember this is volunteer work and work at your own risk, a waiver sign in sheet will be on site for all volunteers to sign.
