The things of the world, which are ultimately of the enemy, are an abomination in the LORD'S Eyes – this is because they are contrary to the Ways of GOD. Stay away from evil influences and remain rooted in the Word of GOD, it will save you from much trouble and even death. Dear God, I pray that in everything I do for you, may you see nothing but excellence. Lord, may I take your work just as seriously as I take the work I do on earth. TODAY'S LIGHT BIBLE DEVOTIONAL, Romans 5:6-7

VERSE
For when we were yet without strength, in due time CHRIST died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

REFLECTION

For a person to consider dying for someone, it would take a lot for them to decide to go through with it. A person is more likely to die for someone who has done good things, as opposed to dying for a bad person. But CHRIST came and died for us when we were at our worst state. Our sinful state was not enough to change HIS mind towards us. That is true love. That is a love that will never fail.

PRAYER
Dear GOD, I simply pray that I never forget who CHRIST truly is. May I never make the mistake to think that HE was a mere man or figure of history. CHRIST is so much more than that; HE is my SAVIOR. It is because of CHRIST I can speak to you, O GOD, with freedom and boldness. In JESUS’ Name, I pray. Amen.

VERSE
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Romans 6:13

REFLECTION
Every single part of us should be dedicated to godliness and righteousness. We should never let any of our thoughts, gifts, or talents profit the enemy and his kingdom of darkness. From the job that you work in to the workouts you do, make sure that they give glory to God.

PRAYER
Dear God, I commit all my thoughts, gifts, talents, and activities into your hands. Lord, may you show me the ones that do not bring glory to your name and may you help me only do the ones that reflect you in your true light. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Dear GOD, it is easy to have days when we do not want to do anything, but we know having this attitude can have long-term effects. Help us to seek YOU rather than grow stagnant or complacent about YOU. Forgive us for the times when our slothfulness has kept us from doing as we should and prevented us from growing in our spiritual lives. Thank YOU for YOUR Forgiveness and for renewing our spirits. 🙏🏾 TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL 🙏🏾

The word of God should be the ultimate authority over our lives, as the believers that we say we are. We should not just view the Bible as an old book filled with texts from centuries ago. We are to view the Bible as the Word of God – the source of our life. It is in the Word of God that we receive direction, identification, and validation. When we choose to dwell on God’s Word, we activate the growth in our spiritual lives.

Christians who make very little time for the Bible, tend to see that dryness in their lives. The Bible equips you with everything that you need for every moment of your life. If you are unaware of what the word of God says about your life, how will you stand in the face of opposition?

We have to take the Word of God seriously. Think of how a newborn baby cries for the milk from their mothers. They need that milk in order to survive. You need to view the word of God in the same light. You need to view it as something you cannot live without because that is what it really is.

The devil is always trying to find ways to pull you away from the confidence that you have in God. He will always try to make you feel as if you aren’t good enough, or righteous enough, or holy enough to call yourself a child of God.

He will aggressively throw all forms of temptation your way in order to make you fall so that he can have something over you. If you read your Bible on a regular basis, you will realize that the devil is just a cunning figure and he holds no power over you because of your position in Christ.

The Word of God reminds you of who is the reason for your right standing with God – it’s Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the center of your entire Christian life, and the Bible makes that very clear for you.

One of God’s biggest desires for us is that we grow in the knowledge that we have of His love and of His son, Jesus Christ. We grow in that knowledge through reading the Word of God. This is why we need to see the Word of God the same way we view oxygen. We cannot imagine our lives without it.

When you have a deep desire for the word of God, you won’t have to worry about making sure that you read your Bible every day. It will become a part of you. As you feed on the word of God, you grow too. You grow into the man or woman of God that God has always desired you to be. AMEN!!!

REFLECTION
Our relationship with GOD consists of us realizing the areas in which we need reformation, and following GOD’S guidance so that we can be healed, reformed, and transformed. Only the power of GOD can change our ways. We can’t do it without HIS help.

PRAYER
Dear GOD, I ask that YOU reveal to me any areas of my life that I need to do better in. LORD, I also ask that YOU help me improve in these areas because it is only through YOU that I can achieve such. In JESUS’ Name, I pray. Amen!

Human life ends. Life through CHRIST is endless. Who you are now does not mean that is who you have to be later. If we submit to the LORD and believe, we can change from something that ends to something eternal.
