Have you ever wondered why breakers trip, drains clog, faucets leak, or smoke alarms start beeping in the middle of the night?
Join River City Hope Street for Fix-It Fundamentals, a practical homeowner workshop where you'll learn how your home's electrical and plumbing systems work—and gain confidence in handling common household issues.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the experienced trades professionals who volunteer their time to train students in our Trades Program:
⚡ Steven Lyons – Master Electrician with more than 50 years in the electrical trade and owner of Lyons Electric. Steven has been teaching and mentoring tradespeople for decades and is passionate about helping others discover the value of skilled trades.
🔧 Jose Zamora – NCCER Trades Instructor, U.S. Navy veteran, logistics leader, and River City Hope Street Board Vice Chair. Jose brings decades of leadership, operations, and workforce development experience to our students and community.
🚰 Mick Ambrose – Master Plumber and owner of Ambroco LLC. Mick combines professional expertise with a powerful personal testimony of transformation and a passion for mentoring the next generation of trades professionals.
During this workshop, you'll learn practical homeowner skills, ask questions, and discover what River City Hope Street is doing to prepare adults for meaningful careers in the skilled trades.
