Community Hospice provided a service pin, flag, fellow Coast Guard members and an honor guard for Anita Morris, a World War II vet who turned 104.

Our Veterans are remembered, we have honored them, we have taught others about their sacrifices for our freedom.

Their honor wreaths are retired and we will return December 19, 2026 to place honor wreaths on every Veterans grave and say their names.

Thank you to everyone that has participated this year. The many people that participated in the wreath retirement today made this task a pleasure.

Wreaths Retirement is this Friday, January 2 at 2 PM

The Wreaths have honored our Veterans and now need to be retired. Removing them with dignity is a part of our obligation. If you are available please consider serving for about an hour. A garden rake works perfectly to carry multiple wreaths.

The funds must be paid thru our registered sponsorship group and not from online purchases.

He was joined by Jim and Marcie Wilcox who sang God Bless the USA.

I hope you are as blessed as were those in attendance today with Max’s performance.
