Bruce & Camella Binkley - Taking Hope to the Hopeless... It all began with a dream in 1985. NNS is still helping people.

Bruce & Camella Binkley were working for an international ministry when the dream was birthed to own their own business. Their hearts desired a business that would support them as a family, allow them to be an active part of their community, and provide the revenue stream to support the ministries that were part of their calling. They began to see their dream come true when they purchased an Expre

ss Employment Professionals franchise in 1995. The business quickly began to experience phenomenal growth and dedicated staff came alongside Bruce & Camella to help them fulfill their dream. The ministries and charities that Bruce & Camella felt compelled to support focused on the needs of the poor, the widows and the orphans. As they began to have the freedom to not only support these groups financially, but also by making international trips - the doors opened for the Binkleys to form New Name Society. NNS lives by James 1:27 - "This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit the orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." Doors have opened around the world - Belize, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Vietnam, and several countries in Africa - to NNS. Involvements have already included orphanage support, feeding programs, building homes for critical need families, wheelchairs supplied for those with disabilities, provision of surgeries for children with handicaps & heart defects, and life-changing education opportunities. 2012 saw the opening of "Marlene's Home" in Cambodia and 2013 the opening of "Vera's Home" - where currently more than 25 young ladies rescued from human trafficking have found hope. The Binkleys' business philosophy was to “help people.” Having recently sold their business, Camella and Bruce have stepped into a new season. Their time is still devoted to living out James 1:27 through their continued commitment to help orphans around the world along with volunteer work with a local
charter school and the establishment of a widows’ support group. Lives are being changed...it all began with a DREAM.

Day 11 - Legacy 2 & 3

We experienced so much today but I will share two quick stories:

At Legacy 3, we reunited with Nhu. Last year we were able to present her a bike sponsored by & . She rushed in bearing a gift as she had school and wouldn’t be able to stay with us. Nhu was so joyful and full of gratitude still. Nhu touches my heart deeply…she has no father and lives in a rented room with her sister & brother. Her mother is out of the country “working.” Yet Nhu is full of joy! I pray for Nhu.

At Legacy 2, a young girl named Trang (12 years old today!) asked to sing a song for us. As she sang she began to cry…her vulnerability was raw and transparent. We did not fully understand but she asked Bruce for a hug. GIBTK interpreted for us that the song was about a daughter waking and her father not being there. Trang was born with a cleft palate and because this is considered shameful in the culture, her father beat her mother continuously while she was an infant and then abandoned the family. We know today’s father’s hug on her 12th birthday began a healing in Trang’s life. Please pray for Trang.

Kindness Comes Full Circle
Journal written for GIBTK by Bruce

Today was an opportunity for us to meet with 3 heart surgery recipients.
I am still moved by the feeling of awe when we walked into the room where they gathered. We have seen the faces of desperation and worry, but today the faces were joyful and full of anticipation. Here is the story of one of the recipients - Co.
As you can see in the photos, Co is a handsome, healthy and happy young man. He was able to share his story in English. Co is from a poor mountainous area, the son of simple farmers, who was selected by an NGO to attend IT training. Part of the entry process was a physical which revealed the heart defect. When Co received this diagnosis
he was worried and overwhelmed and alone. But miraculously he was connected with GIBTK and accepted into the Heart Program. His surgery was successful and after the healing journey, he finished his IT schooling and now works in Danang as a IT coder.
Co was so articulate in expressing his deep gratitude to GIBTK and we spent hours with him just sharing back and forth. It is hard to put into words the joy we experienced just being with Co.
Something bigger has been at work than coincidence for Co. Ponder this: Son of poor farmers accepted into an IT program, heart defect discovered through physical for entry into the program, miraculously connected with GIBTK, and a donor is identified who prays for recipient. And today, in a follow up meeting, we get to see Kindness Come Full Circle….Co acknowledged that more than coincidence had brought him here. It was fun tonight to see the GIBTK staff interact with Co. For them, they experienced first hand what impact kindness can have in a person’s life; for Co, he was able to show his gratitude for that kindness; and for us - well we are just humbled and thrilled to see acts of kindness come full circle. God can do amazing and unbelievable things through simple acts of kindness.

Day 7 - Heart Patients

It was a marvelous day and we will have so much more to share later, but for right now enjoy this pic of us with Co, Vy and Minh…kids that received life-saving heart surgeries in the past. Our evening concluded with a fun dinner with some of the team members of GIBTK.

Day 6 - Travel Day Cambodia back to Vietnam

Today was a travel day as we returned to Danang VN. Since photos of airports and vans aren’t that interesting, I wanted to take this opportunity to “shout out” to the staff and volunteers of GIBTK in Cambodia. They lead & serve Marlene & Vera’s Homes and New Hope Home with excellence. Led by Leakhena, the GIBTK Country Director - the team consists of Sreytoch - Home Leader; Kimya & Pheatra & Mak Thy - House Moms; Essa - Intern; and Phirun - Volunteer.
What an amazing team! They are full of compassion and hearts that are turned toward God’s children. Their devotion and hard work are a blessing to GIBTK and the young ladies & young men of the Homes. We celebrate you Leakhena and the GIBTK Cambodian team❤️

Day 2 - Morning

The Life that a Dream Saved and The House that a Dream Built

Giving It Back to Kids does a phenomenal job remaining present in the lives of the children who are impacted by their programs. Please meet Thong - 16 years old. GIBTK’s commitment to stay connected with heart patients has kept us in touch with Thong after sponsoring his life-saving surgery 8 years ago. Five years ago Bruce visited Thong and his family (right after his baby sister was born). Thong’s parents believed that if they found a way for Thong to receive a life saving heart surgery, that their son would grow up strong and educated. That was their dream and when they connected to GIBTK the dream was fulfilled - Thong’s life was saved and now he is healthy and a very committed student.
This trip we were welcomed by Thong’s family to visit the home they are building. What a dream they have believed in - purchasing land 12 years ago that now is 10 times the value. The family works hard (Dad as a brick layer and Mom as a cook at a primary school), saves money to pay workers to do the things they cannot, and they build themselves after work hours. It is a beautiful, well constructed home and we are invited to stay in their home - the House that a Dream Built - on our next trip to Vietnam.

Day 1:

What a welcomed sight today - The staff of Giving It Back to Kids! It was such a joy to encourage this amazing team about the impact they have in SE Asia as they serve the most needy through “ALL” the programs of GIBTK (we will highlight several in the days to come). We were able to share with the team today “The Power of Kindness” and “Team Players vs Team Killers.” What an amazing team! The Binkleys LOVE GIBTK❤️

30+ hours of travel, serious run through Hong Kong airport to make our flight, luggage didn’t make the flight and we were tired until we were greeted by these beautiful faces. Come along on our Vietnam/Cambodia journey - we will post as often as we can.
