Pastor Keith L. Junior praying over our city council & city 🙌🏽💕🙏🏼

John 2 — when they ran out of wine, Mary didn’t panic. She went to The Source.

She didn’t have the answer, but she knew Who did. And her instruction to the servants was simple: “Do whatever He tells you.” They filled the jars with water — that was their part — and Jesus did the rest. He turned it into the finest wine.

That’s the pattern for all of us. We bring what we have, we obey, and we trust Him to do what only He can do.

A couple of weeks ago, our pastor, Pastor Keith, prayed over our City Council members and the City of Cedar Hill. Standing with our Mayor Stephen Mason, they lifted up this city and its leaders — asking God to bless what we offer Him. 🙏🏾🙏🏼

We are blessed as a community to have men and women serving who have hearts to seek the Lord’s guidance as they serve our beautiful city. What a gift to be led by leaders who go to the Source. 🙌🏽

Cedar Hill, we’re believing God for you and all your needs. Get ready, fill your jars. Do whatever He says. And let’s watch Him move and do what only He can do!

Meet our pastor. 🩵

We’re excited to introduce Pastor Keith L. Junior, installed as lead pastor of Cedar Heights Baptist Church on May 31, 2026 — answering a call God had long been placing on his heart.

Keith gave his life to Christ at nine years old, discipled by his grandmother Erma, and has served in nearly every corner of church life since — Sunday school teacher, choir member, deacon, elder, greeter, youth and college pastor. He holds a bachelor’s in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and an MDiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before ministry full-time, he spent 27 years as a law enforcement officer — a career that helped shaped the same heart for people he now brings to the pulpit.

His heart for CEDAR HEIGHTS is simple: to equip the saints for the work of ministry — that God’s people would love the Word and live it out at home, at work, and everywhere in between.

Alongside him is his wife Michelle, married 34 years and mom to nine. Michelle has led women’s ministry for years, and she’s just beginning that work here — pouring into the handful of women God has already gathered, ready to grow together. Her heart is for helping women find hope and healing in God’s Word, a passion born from her own story. Her new memoir, TWELVE: A Memoir of Survival, Broken Silence, and Hope, released August 2026 and tells of God bringing beautiful things out of the darkest places. Nothing is impossible with God.

Here’s the truth about where we are as a church: we’re small. We’re still praying for a worship leader and currently rebuilding ministries from the ground up. It’s going to take time and work. But we’re trusting God through it all. What we have here is real — hearts full of love, a hunger for God’s Word, and a genuine desire to welcome people of every nationality and background through our doors. If you’ve ever felt like you were too much, too broken, or too new to belong somewhere, this is a church where you can come as you are and find a family.

Rooted in Cedar Hill since 1971. Anchored in God’s Word. Being made NEW by His grace.

What a Sunday at Cedar Heights! 🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏻

Today we came back to the heart of worship and had the joy of ordaining three new deacons: David, Pat, and Kent—men called to serve this church family with humility and love. We also honored Mitch as a standing deacon. A sacred moment we won’t soon forget. 🩵

We’re so grateful for every person who gathered with us today to celebrate what the Lord is doing in our church. 🙌🏼
