🔥🔥 “Don’t touch Saul.”
David had every opportunity to take matters into his own hands.
Twice he stood over Saul, the very man who hunted him, the one who betrayed his loyalty, the one who tried to destroy his destiny. But David said, “I will not stretch out my hand against the Lord’s anointed” (1 Samuel 24:10).
There are some battles you will not win with your hands, but only with your restraint.
There are some enemies God is not asking you to slay, but to outlast.
Don’t waste your oil on revenge.
Don’t waste your anointing trying to pay back those who hurt you.
Jehovah is the Judge.
He is the Avenger.
He is the One who will set all things right.
You must understand, when you seek to strike back, you step into a fight that does not belong to you.
Vengeance does not fit you.
It is too heavy for your shoulders.
“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,” says the Lord (Romans 12:19).
Some of you are standing in a cave moment, like David in En Gedi.
You have the dagger in your hand, the chance to prove your strength, the chance to silence your accuser, the chance to expose the one who wronged you.
But the Spirit of the Lord says, “Don’t touch Saul.”
Your assignment is too great to get stuck in bitterness, your destiny is too weighty to be delayed by offense.
Shake the dust, lift your eyes, and walk on.
Don’t waste your destiny trying to prove your innocence.
Don’t waste your oil trying to pay back betrayal.
There is a throne waiting for you, but you cannot reach it with blood on your hands.
There is a crown with your name on it, but you cannot wear it if you are still fighting in Saul’s arena.
Leave Saul to the Lord.
Your future is not tied to who hurt you, but to Who anointed you.
He is the One who chose you and He will be the One to defend you.
And hear this, God will deal with Saul in His timing.
David didn’t need to slay Saul; God removed him in due season.
And when the dust settled, David was still standing, still anointed, still chosen.
You will outlast the lies.
You will outlast the betrayal.
You will outlast the persecution.
You will outlast Saul!
God is your defender, He is your shield, He is your vindicator.
Keep walking, keep worshiping, keep obeying.
Watch as God turns what was meant for evil into the very thing that brings you closer to him 🙌🙌🙌🙌
