Obituary for Margaret Ellen Cochran
Margaret Ellen Cochran, age 71, of Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, following a courageous and lengthy illness.
Born on January 29, 1955, in Richlands, Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ernest Lowe and Ina Hayes Lowe.
Margaret grew up in Richlands and was a proud graduate of the Richlands High School Class of 1973. She went on to dedicate many years of hard work and service as a shipping clerk for Blizzard Industrial Company of Virginia, where her dependability and warm presence left a lasting impact on her colleagues. Above all, Margaret was defined by her immense heart and devotion to her family and friends. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and a treasured sister, aunt, and friend who brought warmth and kindness to every life she touched.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was reunited in eternity with her dear siblings, Anna Ruth Lowe, Omega Mitchell, and Daniel Lowe.
Her gentle spirit lives on in the hearts of those who survive her, including her

She also leaves behind her special, devoted friends, Wanda and Jim Delp, and Shawn Meadows, as well as several loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service honoring and celebrating the life of Margaret Ellen Cochran will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia, with Rev. Chuck Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
