Living in a Chaotic World
Life is unpredictable. One moment, everything seems fine, and the next, you’re hit with news you never expected. Stress at work. Financial struggles. A health diagnosis. Uncertainty about the future. It feels like everything is spinning out of control.
But here’s what we need to remember: peace isn’t the absence of problems—it’s the presence of God in the middle of them.
True peace isn’t about everything going right. It’s about knowing that no matter what happens, God is with you, holding you, strengthening you, and guiding you through every storm.
Today, we’ll explore how we can hold onto God’s peace when everything around us feels unstable.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
This verse is packed with powerful reminders of why we don’t have to live in fear:
1. “I am with you.” You are never alone, no matter what chaos surrounds you.
2. “I am your God.” He is in control, even when life feels out of control.
3. “I will strengthen you.” You don’t have to rely on your own strength—God will carry you.
4. “I will uphold you.” Even when you feel like you’re falling apart, God holds you together.
The world tells us peace comes from stability. But God tells us peace comes from His presence. When we focus on who He is, fear loses its grip. The next time you feel overwhelmed, pause and say this verse out loud: “God is with me. He will strengthen and uphold me. I do not need to fear.”
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15
