Art classes are coming back to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲, located inside the Visitor Center at 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁. 𝗔𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀.

Now in its 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, Friday Paint Club meets from 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎 𝐚.𝐦. 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧 for professionally led classes designed to help you explore your creativity, develop your skills, and enjoy painting in a welcoming environment. New painters are always welcome!

We also offer occasional Saturday morning classes.

Today, we honor the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures who have shaped our lives through their love, guidance, strength, and faith.

As we celebrate Father's Day, we also remember those who now rest in God's eternal care. Though they may no longer walk beside us, their lessons, sacrifices, and love continue to live on in our hearts.

May God bless all fathers today and always.

Ten years ago, 14 formerly enslaved Africans were laid to rest with the dignity, honor, and respect they were denied in life. Their reburial at St. Agnes Cemetery marked the culmination of years of research, remembrance, and community dedication to ensuring their stories would never be forgotten. Today, we pause to reflect on this important chapter in our history and honor the lives of these men, women, and children whose legacy continues to inspire remembrance, reconciliation, and respect for every human life. ❤️

Join us for a powerful morning of remembrance, reflection, and community as we honor the lives of 14 individuals once known only to God.


In 2016, several community organizations came together to ensure these men, women, and children received a dignified reburial at St. Agnes Cemetery. Now, ten years later, we invite you to stand with us once again at the African Burial Ground Remembrance Ceremony as we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the burial ground’s founding.


This meaningful gathering is an opportunity to honor those who were denied their freedom, recognize their humanity, and ensure their stories are never forgotten. Your presence helps keep their memory alive.

Your donations are being spent wisely. Among improvements to roads and hazardous tree removals, we are also allocating funds to repair historic gravestones that have been broken for decades. This stone was in a deplorable state of disrepair. It is beautiful now!
