Love lives on—beyond time, beyond loss. This Valentine’s Day, we honor the bonds that never fade and the stories written in love. 💕

At Albany Diocesan Cemeteries, our Catholic Monument Design Center creates custom memorials that beautifully reflect each unique life and relationship.

I found these interesting wooden blocks that have a thin metal plate with images of our old receiving vault and notable burial sites located in St. Agnes Cemetery. I’m guessing they are really old camera negatives. Can anyone confirm what they are? They are so cool!

Notice to our visitors and families, our offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th, due to the anticipated inclement weather.

The winter storm in the forecast for Sunday and Monday will make accessing our cemetery roads difficult. We ask that you please refrain from visiting unless you are with a funeral procession. Our field crew will do their best to plow the main roads in all 23 of our cemeteries in a timely manner.

Please be patient with us and stay safe!

The staff at Albany Diocesan Cemeteries is very grateful to everyone who gave so generously to our first-ever Christmas Campaign! Together, we raised over $60,000, which we will use to make improvements on our sacred grounds! This money will help fix historic monuments, crumbling roads, and take down dangerously decayed trees.

We strive to keep our cemeteries in good repair, but it is a daunting and very expensive endeavor. Thank you very much to everyone who contributed to our Christmas Campaign. Work will begin this spring. If you haven't sent your donation yet, there is still time to help us!

Fresh snowfall makes our cemetery grounds feel even more peaceful and serene.

We welcome visitors throughout the winter months, but please stay on the roads that are maintained for ice and snow.

Many of our historic sections—especially those with unpaved roads—are not accessible by vehicle during the winter, and walking in these untreated areas can also be unsafe.

There’s plenty of beauty to enjoy without risking a fall or getting stuck. Stay safe, and enjoy the quiet charm of winter with us.

All Saints and All Souls are two significant Church feast days in November.

All Saints Day keeps the presence of the Saints, both known and unknown, in our minds as a constant reminder of what we strive for.

All Souls Day reminds us to pray for the souls of our loved ones who have left us.

November. Such a beautiful time to visit our sacred grounds to visit those loved ones and spend time in quiet contemplation.
