Hi friends! Last week we wrapped up a short sermon series going through the book of Philemon. Join us this Sunday as we launch a new sermon series titled LIFE TOGETHER.

Over the next few months, we’ll be exploring different “duos” in the Bible who shared their lives with one another—David and Jonathan, Ruth and Naomi, Peter and John, etc.—and then drawing principles to apply to our own relationships today. First up this week: Paul and Barnabas.

Also, during the first three weeks of September (9/6, 9/13, 9/20), we will be having TWO Sunday Services. One is at our usual time (9:30am) at our usual location (1501 N Rolling Rd, Catonsville), and the other will be a special 2:30pm Stepping Stone Ministry @ JHU service in the Bloomberg Student Center at the JHU Homewood campus. Many of the elements of the two services will be different from one another, but the two sermons will largely be the same.

Our Contextualized Evangelism class is happening tonight over Zoom at 8pm! We’ll be going over a few paradigm shifts (Come & See —> Go & Be, Hail Mary —> First Downs, Formulaic Facts —> Multifaceted Story), and then we will discuss practical strategies to contextualize the gospel to individual people and individual conversations.

Our FREE COMMUNITY MARKET is right around the corner!

On Saturday, August 8, 1-3pm, join us at 1501 Rolling Rd in Catonsville as our church community gives away school supplies, clothing, household items, and more! All items will be new or gently used, and everything will be free.

Next week we are hosting a class titled Deconstruction & Reconstruction.

Many Christians, at some point in their lives, start doubting beliefs that they used to take for granted—a process commonly called deconstruction. In this class, we’ll discuss why deconstruction happens, what distinguishes healthy deconstruction from unhealthy deconstruction, and how those of us who deconstruct can transition to reconstruction.

The same class will be held twice. An in-person version will occur on Sunday after service in our basement, and an online version will occur on Wednesday at 8pm over Zoom. Be sure to click the “Summer 2026 Classes” link in our bio to sign up.
