Labels like “gay,” “straight,” or “nonbinary” shrink identity to desires. Scripture shouts a better name: “Child of God.” In Christ, every believer is remade—not improved, but resurrected. Old patterns may linger, but they don’t define you. Just as a butterfly can’t reclaim its caterpillar shell, Christians live from their new nature. This identity isn’t earned through purity but received through grace.

"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"
(2 Corinthians 5:17, NLT)

Reflection: Which worldly label or past struggle still feels like your “name”? How would living as “new creation” shift your daily choices?

Last week we looked at God's plan for s*xuality versus what our culture tells us. There can be a lot of temptation and struggle in this area. Take a minute and pray for yourself or someone you love to have victory in this area.

Culture frames s*x as a limitless playground, but God designed it as a walled garden—protected and purposeful. Within marriage, s*xuality cultivates intimacy, reflects Christ’s love for the Church, and births new life. Outside those boundaries, it becomes a w**d that chokes souls. This isn’t about missing out but preserving the sacred. Like a farmer who fences crops not to restrict but to nourish, God’s limits guard love’s deepest joys.

"Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery."
(Hebrews 13:4, NLT)

Reflection: What cultural lies about “s*xual freedom” have you tolerated? How might embracing God’s design deepen your trust in His goodness?

Romans 10:17 isn’t a suggestion—it’s a law of spiritual physics. Faith starves without Scripture but thrives when saturated with God’s promises. Reading the Bible isn’t a religious duty; it’s weightlifting for your trust muscles, preparing you to move mountains.

“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” (Romans 10:17, NLT)

Reflection: What specific worry or situation needs to be replaced with active Scripture meditation this week? Which Bible passage will you wield as a faith-building tool?

Faith falters when fixed on waves instead of the Savior. Peter sank when he focused on wind; he walked when locked on Jesus. Like steering into a storm, faith grows by relentlessly orienting toward Christ’s power, not the problem’s size. [01:09:55]

"We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne." (Hebrews 12:2, NLT)

Reflection: What circumstance dominates your gaze more than Christ? What practical step can you take today to refocus on Jesus’ faithfulness?

Mature faith isn’t private—it’s infectious. Like a mustard plant dropping seeds, your lived trust in God plants courage in others. People watch how you weather storms, pray through impossibilities, and cling to Christ. Your faith story becomes someone else’s starter soil.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. (Hebrews 12:1, NLT)

Reflection: Who modeled resilient faith to you? Who might be watching your walk with God right now, needing your example to spark their own?
