As we start our 7th season maintaining the cemetery we are truly grateful to all those who contribute for it’s up keep and to the Catawba Ruritans for their dedication of weedeating which has become difficult for this aging man. 😊

I apologize in advance because of current health I will not be able to place wreaths on our veteran’s graves this Christmas season.

Mowing season is winding down. I would like to thank all those who express appreciation, those who have given funds for gas, and a special Thank You to Pam Garman and the Catawba Rurtian Club for volunteering to do the weedeating. Keeping the cemetery dressed was a challenge with heath issues and multiple hospital stays this summer for me but the community stepped up and together we kept it another beautiful spot in Catawba.

A new flag flies at half staff in this hallowed ground for our 39th President/Veteran (WW2). Not only just for him for every veteran who rests here. President Carter loved his country and was a patriot. Thank you to each veteran who lies here.

We placed 24 Christmas Wreaths on all veteran’s graves provided by the Siren and Salutes organization based in Buchanan. This is a most deserving organization and I encourage all who feel lead to contribute to them.

The Sirens and Salutes Organization are blessing Catawba and Robinson Cemeteries with Christmas wreaths for our veterans this year. It would be wonderful if folks could donate to this worthy cause to help defray costs. We will be posting pictures once the wreaths are put in place.
