Adoramus te, Christe, et benedicimus tibi, quia per sanctam crucem tuam redemisti mundum. 🙏✝️

(We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You, because by Your holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.)

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross: on the day following the dedication of the Basilica of the Resurrection, which was erected over the Holy Sepulchre, the Holy Cross is exalted and honored as the trophy of Christ’s Paschal victory and the sign which is to appear in the heavens, announcing to the whole world his Second Coming.

Today, the Church celebrates the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Throughout Scripture, a name reveals a person's identity and mission. At the name of Mary, we're reminded of the woman whose humble "yes" opened the door for the Savior to enter the world.

For centuries, Christians have called upon her name in moments of fear, uncertainty, and joy, trusting that she always leads us closer to her Son.

If you're discerning your vocation, don't be afraid to ask for Mary's help.

She knows what it means to trust God's plan without knowing every detail.

She knows what it means to surrender with confidence.

And she continues to lead hearts to Christ today.

On this feast day, simply pray:

"Mary, help me say 'yes' to whatever God is calling me to."

🙏 Our Lady, pray for all those discerning their vocation.

To follow Christ, to gain the mercy of God, we need to be forgiven by Him. Yet, we also have to forgive those who wronged us. We all need God's mercy, love, and forgiveness. ✝️

It's not about our feelings about someone or what they did. That doesn't matter. It's also not about reconciliation with everyone we meet who wrong us. We don't necessarily have a relationship with everyone who hurt us, which is the purposeof reconciliation. It's about forgiving others the way we have been forgiven, to pray for them. 🙏 When we do this in a real way, we are acting the way true disciples of Jesus should act. If I'm going to follow Jesus, we want to obtain heaven, paradise with Christ. Our debts have been forgiven through Jesus's Paschal Mystery. We need, as one Body, to forgive everyone, whole-heartedly.
