We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the community and all those who contributed to the Blessing Tree by taking name tags from the tree and donating bingo prizes, which elicited a wonderful surprise and excitement among the residents. The gift delivery was carried out today, and special thanks to Nolan and Kypton Eidson for their help in delivering these gifts.

It’s that time of year again!

The St. John’s CCD students in grades 9-10 will be sponsoring the Blessing Tree for the residents of the Castlewood Assisted Living Center. Help them spread a little Christmas cheer this season.
Stop by the tree at the back of the church in Castlewood and pick up a tag. Please return wrapped presents to the church between Dec. 16-22 so they can be distributed. Feel free to write the resident card and sign your name.
They are also collecting Bingo prizes for the Assisted Living Center and items like candy, markers, color pencils, coloring books, comfort items, pop, batteries, large print word search can be left in the box at the church.

A message from Bishop DeGrood:

Dear brothers and sisters,

I want to share with you that I have been dealing with some unexpected health issues and am currently receiving excellent medical care. I am doing well and making progress. Currently the doctors are focused on my severe headaches, but there is more testing to be done. While these are not life-threatening concerns, I have had to reduce my ministry duties for the time being. I am working closely with medical professionals in order to return to my regular schedule as a bishop as soon as prudentially possible. As Easter approaches, please know of my prayers for you.

A huge thank you to all the generous individuals who helped make our blessing tree and bingo prize donations a huge success this year! We were thrilled to provide a Christmas gift to every one of the 16 residents at the assisted living!

The St. John's High School CCD class is excited to announce once again this year’s Blessing Tree, a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the residents of Castlewood's assisted living facility.

The tree is situated at the rear of the church. This year, there are 15 residents to sponsor. Please visit and collect a tag. A donation box is also placed beside the tree to collect items for bingo prizes.

We kindly request that all gifts be returned to the church by December 22 for timely Christmas delivery. For inquiries, please contact the page administrator. Thank you, and God bless!
