Castle Rock United Methodist Church

Castle Rock United Methodist Church Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open doors. Join us for Worship Service- Sundays @ 8:00 am There was much destruction in town including the church and parsonage.

Castle Rock United Methodist Church has a long standing faithful history of serving the community in God's ministry through outreach, mission support and through mission service. The history of the early church dates back to 1856 when a young Methodist circuit rider named William McKinley held religious services in Castle Rock. Sunday service were held at various sites until a church was built in

1868 on donated farm land just outside of town. Tragedy struck the Castle Rock Community in May, 1920 when a tornado hit the area. Sunday Church services were held on the lawn of the local bank or in peoples homes until the church was rebuilt at it's present site. The building was completed and a dedication service was held June 19, 1927. Today the church stands tall and continues to have Sunday services at 9:00 am. Coffee, treats, and fellowship sharing at 10:00 am. Over the years our congregation has slimmed but our doors stay open to all whom wish to share the joys of our Lord! All are welcome, come sing and worship with us!
