Some of you are calling it “being nice”… but really, it’s fear of disappointing people.
So you overcommit. Overextend. Say yes when you want to say no. Stay available when you’re exhausted. Keep shrinking to avoid making anyone uncomfortable.
And everybody benefits from it except you.
Sis… Jesus was loving, but He still had boundaries.
He disappeared from crowds. Walked away from people. Said no. Corrected people directly.
Why?
Because love without wisdom turns into self-destruction. And honestly? Some of you are not burned out from purpose. You’re burned out from people-pleasing.
That’s the edgy truth nobody wants to talk about. Healing looks like learning that disappointing people is sometimes necessary, when obedience to God requires it.
You cannot become the woman God called you to be while needing everybody to approve of you.
At some point, you have to choose:
peace or performance.
