Greetings to all
I hope this finds you well.
Part of my role both as Pastor and Business Consultant is working with people regarding conflict. Some conflict arises unintentionally. Some conflict is more intentional. Some conflict arises by commission, and some by omission. Everyone seems to handle it differently. Some handle it better than others.

It is important to note that not all conflict is bad. In fact positive conflict helps facilitate positive change and innovation.

I have given workshops on conflict management. There are different styles for different situations.

Interestingly, the readings for today offer their suggestions for addressing less positive conflict.

You are invited to come, listen and even share your own experiences. We are all welcome here.

I also want to share with you that the life and ministry of the church continues whether you are able to physically attend.

The need is great and the challenges large. I encourage you to continue to give as you are able either by sending a check, we pick up mail daily so it will be secure, or through the giving tab on the church website.

Be kind to each other and those you meet along the way. A little bit of compassion and kindness seems to have an exponential effect in these challenging times.

I look forward to sharing Sunday's service with you however we do it.

And remember, be kind to yourself .

Take care and be well, Peace be with you, Ken

Greetings to all
I hope this finds you well.
I was talking to a good friend of mine who struggles with relationships. The issue seems to be that despite how much they say they care for each other the relationship feels unbalanced. They want the other person to be available when they are available but get frustrated when the other person wants to get together and they are busy. Or my friends who have been together for years, where one seeks a long term commitment and the other likes it the way it is.

That reminded me of a situation a long time ago. My dad was a very handy, Mr Fix-it kind of guy. They had a "friend" who only called when he needed something fixed. I remember one day my mom answered the phone and when the other party announced who they were and before they could say another word, my mother asked, "What do you want Bob (my dad) to fix, George?"

All this has me thinking about my relationships and what kind of relationships they are.

That seems to be the same question discussed in this week's scripture reading.

Join us Sunday and let's talk about it.
