In the Catholic Church, June is traditionally dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In 1673, Jesus appeared to Sr. Margaret Mary Alacoque and revealed to her ways in which to venerate His Sacred Heart. ❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯

Here are Jesus' 12 Promises for those devoted to His Sacred Heart:

1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.
2. I will give peace in their families.
3. I will console them in all their troubles.
4. I will be their refuge in life and especially in death.
5. I will abundantly bless all their undertakings.
6. Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
7. Tepid (lukewarm) souls shall become fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall rise speedily to great perfection.
9. I will bless those places where the image of My Sacred Heart is exposed and venerated.
10. I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.
11. Those who propagate this devotion shall have their names eternally written in My Heart.
12. To those who receive Holy Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months, I promise the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die without the sacraments, and My Heart will be their secure refuge at the last hour.

If you would like to pray a novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, please start on June 3rd at this link: https://www.usccb.org/novena-sacred-heart-jesus

The Interim Mass Schedule has been created for the Anamosa Area Pastorate. The plan is to utilize this interim schedule beginning July 15th of this year through January 15, 2027.

I will be sharing the weekend Mass schedule with you today as part of this announcement. Both the weekend and weekday schedules will be published this coming Monday, June 1, on our website and social media channels, as well as the Journey in Faith website. There will be an insert in next week’s bulletin with all the Mass times for our pastorate for you to have at home.

The Interim Weekend Mass Schedule is as follows:

Saturday:
4:00 pm at St. Matthias, Cascade
5:30 pm at Sacred Heart, Monticello
Sunday:
7:30 am at St. Matthias, Cascade
9:00 am at St. Matthias, Cascade
9:30 am at St. Patrick, Anamosa
10:30 am at Sacred Heart, Monticello

There will also be 8:00 am Mass on Sundays at the Anamosa Penitentiary.

I will read that one more time (repeat schedule above).

Again, this schedule, along with the weekday schedule, will be posted on our website and social media channels, as well as on the Journey in Faith website, on Monday. There will also be a bulletin insert next weekend with all the Mass times.

This interim schedule will be evaluated throughout the next six months for any needed adjustments. Please be patient and grace-filled as we give the proposed schedule time to work. The schedules were created with great care and with input from each parish’s leadership. Recognizing that this schedule is a change for many, I ask you to approach this transition with understanding, flexibility, and a shared spirit of unity. As we continue our journey forward together, may we remain focused on our common mission and on the joy of celebrating the Eucharist together.
