As we conclude our Forgiveness series, Pastor Shawn invites us to face one of the hardest places forgiveness is needed: within ourselves.

Shame often has a powerful voice. It tells us that we are defined by our past, by what we’ve done, and by what we wish we could undo.

But the gospel speaks a different word. Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ—not what others have said about us, and not even what we have come to believe about ourselves.

We are still learning. We will make mistakes. And yet, we live within a grace that is always making things new.

Join us as we continue to grow in that grace together.

Worship Series: Forgiveness

Continuing our Forgiveness series, Pastor Shawn reflected on Jesus’ call to forgive in Luke 17.

We often think of forgiveness as something we offer once the other person has apologized, changed, or made things right.

But in God’s economy, forgiveness comes first.

It is not a transaction. It is a way of life— one made possible only by grace.

We do not forgive because it feels natural. We forgive because God is at work within us, drawing us back to who we were created to be.

So much of what we rely on can shift—success, security, expectations, even the things we assume will always hold.
And yet, Jesus points us toward something more solid: a life grounded in his teachings—a life shaped by love, mercy, and peace.

Even when everything around us feels uncertain, the ground beneath us does not give way.

The gospel speaks of healing, release, and freedom—not as distant ideas, but as signs of God at work among us.

And yet, we don’t always recognize that work. Sometimes it comes in ways we wouldn’t choose, through means we wouldn’t expect.

But the invitation remains: to trust the Spirit at work—even when it doesn’t look the way we imagined.
