We made it!! Both to Santiago, and back home now! We had such and amazing trip with memories and experiences that will stay with all of us forever!

We just arrived in Portamarin! We walked 14 miles today with lots of uphills, downhills, and animals along the way!

Here’s our last trekker Naomi, the other owner of this account!

➼ Naomi Troiano just graduated from Green Hope High School and will be attending NC State in the fall! She loves yoga and is a certified instructor. She also loves animals, especially her dog Lucy who she wishes she could bring to Spain! She’s most excited about spending time with the church family and embarking on a spiritual journey. She hopes to use the Camino as an opportunity to practice being in the present moment in nature. Something she’ll be bringing along is SPF Chapstick! To prepare, she has been walking, currently packing, and working with Sarah to run this instagram account!

Here we have Katelyn!

➼ Katelyn Riffle is a rising senior at Holly Springs High School. When she’s not working at Homegrown Pizza or studying for school, she loves hanging out with friends, attending concerts, being creative and traveling. She recently went to San Francisco over spring break and Alaska this past summer. She also enjoys visiting National Parks, hiking, or anything outdoors related. She’s super excited to go backpacking for the first time. She’s also never been out of the country so she’s looking forward to new experiences. Something she’ll definitely bring is her water bottle. To prepare, she has been going on walks more frequently and reading the d365.

As our trip is coming up, we would like to thank everyone for all of your support. This journey could not have been done without your help, gratitude, and kindness. Thank you to everyone who has donated, joined us for a walk in body or spirit, prayed for us, and encouraged us on this pilgrimage and journey of a lifetime. We can’t wait for this trip and to share our experiences with you. ☀️☀️

Next is Ella!

➼ Ella Troiano is a senior at NC State University. She is studying design and a business administration. She loves to sail, walk, take photos, and go to NC State football games! Last summer she got to study abroad in Prague, Czech Republic and work on a catamaran in Key West, Florida. She is most excited to see to the beautiful landscapes and to challenge herself on the Camino. She also wants to grow spiritually on this journey and is extra excited to go with her sister Naomi! Something she’ll definitely be packing are some euros to buy snacks in the villages. In preparation, she has been trying to go on a walk everyday and do a couple long walks a week.

So happy to have you Ella! ☀️

Next we have one of the owners of this account Sarah!

➼ Sarah Pierce is a rising senior at Apex High School. She plays sand volleyball, works at a boutique and loves all things fashion. She also loves walking and traveling so she is super excited for this trip! She’s most excited to visit a beautiful country and explore new things with all the people going! It will be an amazing experience and she can’t wait to grow closer to everyone. One item she’ll definitely be bringing is a disposable camera for pictures!! In preparation she has been trying to take many walks with her pack and do the daily D365. She has also been helping by making lots of posts for all the social media, including this instagram account!

One week!! It’s crazy how fast our departure is coming up!

➼First, we’d like to thank you all again for your extremely generous support. Really, we will not be able to thank you enough. We are also so grateful for the prayers and thoughts while we have been preparing for this journey and for when we depart on our journey.

➼Next Friday at this time we’ll be in the airport! Please keep us in your thoughts through these next 7 days as we continue to train, remain spiritually connected, and deal with packing for the journey!

Next we have the person who made this trip possible, Alan Bancroft!!

➼ Alan Bancroft grew up in a musical family with two parents who play church organ. He's a husband to Gracyn and a father to two amazing little boys. Alan enjoys making and listening to music, spending time outdoors, reading, and chatting over various types of coffee. Alan and his wife walked the Camino in 2015 and has been dreaming about going back ever since. Fun Facts: Before moving to Raleigh, Alan traveled around the world and visited over 20 countries over the course of nine months. He is most excited about introducing a new group of pilgrims to the pace of life on the Camino. He looks forward to slowing down a bit and focusing on what's right in front of him as he walks one step at a time. One item that he’ll be taking is a Kindle: So many books in one place. To prepare, he has been doing daily devotions from d365, Daily Examen, walking regularly, trying to be more aware of the world around him and how God is present in his life
